Accessing Psychology Services
Without a referral
You are able to make an appointment without a referral. If you do not have a referral and you have private health insurance, you may like to check with your insurer if you are able to access a rebate for psychology services. For those eligible for such a rebate, please note the full fee is required to be paid at the time of your appointment, and you can then apply for the rebate from your insurer.
With a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan
If you have a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will be able to access a rebate for up to 6 sessions, and additional sessions can be requested, if necessary, for up to a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year. Your GP referral can be used with us even if it is addressed to a different psychologist, as long as you have not yet started attending sessions elsewhere.
If you have a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan, please bring them with you to your first session. Please note, the full fee is required to be paid at the time of your appointment, and the rebate will then be claimed from Medicare for you.
Please be aware, a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan (and the associated rebate) is only for individual therapy, and cannot be used for couple’s therapy.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants
We provide therapy for NDIS participants who are either self-managed or plan-managed.
